With over 30 years of experience and certifications in therapeutic riding, equine-assisted learning, and equine specialization, her expertise is unmatched. Holding a Ph.D. in Applied EcoPsychology, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Therapy and Master’s in Education, she is deeply committed to evidence-based practices. As Director of Education and Research at Strides to Success, Dr. McKissock spearheads scholarly pursuits, fostering innovation and excellence in equine-assisted services. Her work with the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University informs her practice, particularly in supporting the military-connected population. A respected international speaker, she advocates for the therapeutic benefits of the human-nature connection.
