Erica Gummere started with the Indiana State Parks in 2021 as a Grant Coordinator with the Community Grants & Trails Team. Her main focus was in the Next Level Trail program, before pivoting to focus almost enitirely on the Land and Water Conservation Fund Program in late 2022. Erica completed her undergraduate studies at IU Bloomington, graduaitng with a BS in Recreation in 2019. During her studies, Erica was an intern and employee for a handful of park departments in the West Indy Suburbs before joining Indiana State Parks. Her field expereince was centered in youth and family programming, with a brief stint in acquatics. In addition to grant coordination and program redevelopment, Erica is a lead coordinator for Indiana State Park’s annual new professional staff summit and training.
