Christy was trained and certified in 2016 in forest therapy. She has since conducted trainings and retreats across the US and in Western and Central Europe, utilizing and teaching these mindfulness skills to hundreds of others. In Indiana, she has worked with many area non-profits, including landtrusts and Cancer Services of NE Indiana. She has also worked with businesses, the state parks, and the DNR. She has her education in Environmental Science and is finishing her MDiv, focusing in eco-theology. Christy works as an interim Community Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator for the Huntington, IN Parks and Rec Department, runs a music school through the local YMCA, and preaches in area Church of the Brethren congregations. She is the mother of four adult children and resides in Huntington.
