IPRA is sponsoring a logo contest for our public awareness campaign.

What is a public awareness campaign?   All of us who are fortunate enough to work in the parks field know very well that parks are critical to healthy communities.  But, have been keeping that secret a little TOO well!  IPRA is in the midst of project to develop tools to better tell our story to our constituents.   The project includes research currently underway at the Polis Center at IU, videos, infographics, data, a new website for the project, and more.   But, we all know that any good campaign has to include a catchy slogan and logo.   Think…. Pure Michigan, or, Just Do It.   That’s where you come in!   Who better to develop a logo to promote the benefit of parks, than park professionals!?

Here is what we are looking for:

  • a logo/slogan that is intended to capture the interest of the public, and when they see it, they think PARKS!

Here is what we want to have included:

  • IN Parks, using a capital I and capital N.   We’re currently considering – Explore IN Parks, or More to Explore IN Parks.

  • Possibly the outline of the state of Indiana, and something that could be printed in color, as well as black and white.

FYI: We aren’t looking for print quality images in multiple formats.  We’ll take your design and let a professional transform it into print quality.

  What’s the Prize?

  • Win a $250 Amazon or Visa gift card!

  • Recognition in both our weekly e-newsletter, social media and our Winter edition of the Profile magazine

The logo contest will run for 3 weeks beginning September 6 and ending on September 27.  The winner will be announced in the October 10th edition of Insights e-newsletter.
